a passion filled launch

The launch of The Kevin R. Smith Company is an exciting step for me as I enter what I am calling Life IV. Life IV follows earlier phases of a career that has been blessed by numerous opportunities to develop and grow appreciation for the value of leadership.

There are any number of definitions for leadership and I am sure you, the reader, may already have one that best fits the need. For me, it all boils down to "Everything rises and falls on leadership" a quote from John Maxwell. There is no other way to state that leadership abilities drive our opportunities for success, as well as our opportunities for failure.

My move to Life IV is all about sharing my experiences, the successes I have been blessed to be a part of, and my failures, in order to add value to those interested in growing their leadership toolbox. Through lessons learned in the educational, manufacturing, customer service, small business, personal experience, and athletic coaching arena's I have built a toolbox that I am confident others will find useful. My leadership toolbox includes experiences gained through a commitment to such leadership philosophies developed by Dr. Stephen Covey, Dr. John Maxwell, John Wooden, as well as many other leaders who have established a legacy for all leaders to succeed with since the very beginning of time. At the forefront of my leadership toolbox are the teachings of the greatest leader of all, Jesus.

Life IV's most important component is the opportunity to serve and to help others transform. It is my desire to do this with those closest to me, my family, as well as others focused on transforming into the leader they were meant to be. I look forward to having the opportunity to meet you and beginning a journey towards the development of leadership excellence.
